The festival which is held under the auspices of Kenya Music Festival foundation, saw Light Academy compete at the provincial level and scooped the top position in the following cartegories;

Ten students from the school represented Light Academy in the 2010 Safaricom Diabetes  walk which was held at Carnivore on 10th July 2010. During the event the boys had a free diabetes test after the walk. They were later awarded with certificates for their contribution in the charity event.
