Ten students from the school represented Light Academy in the 2010 Safaricom Diabetes  walk which was held at Carnivore on 10th July 2010. During the event the boys had a free diabetes test after the walk. They were later awarded with certificates for their contribution in the charity event. Those awarded were

The students were accompanied by Mr. Njoroge. The school was also awarded a trophy for the participation
